Fratelli Wines began as the dream of three brothers of Italian heritage with a love of wine. The Santarossa brothers set out to create a ‘family’ of wines adopting the old world principle of ‘terroir’. The single vineyard fruit is sourced from regions throughout Victoria that are best suited to the variety and then apply new world innovation to capture the most honest, purest expression of the wine. Minimal intervention, hand-picked, wild yeast and barrel ferment’s all contribute to making approachable food oriented styles. Winemaker Andrew Santarossa has over twelve years’ experience making premium wines in Oregon, Margaret River and the Yarra Valley.

92 Points – 2012 Redcote Shiraz
Soft and well-fruited with liberal oak and a gunsmoke-like edge. Sounds strange but taste it and the reference will become clear. In any case it’s a positive; the wine works.
92 Points – 2016 Significant Other Chardonnay
Popcorn, vanillin oak and a reductive mineral smokiness dominate this wine. A tale of two halves, with plenty of stone fruited warmth tucked in beneath the structural attributes. One simply needs to swirl the glass with flamenco wrist jerks! Opens to a tangy citric twist and the tang of nectarine on the finish.
