Fratelli Wines began as the dream of three brothers of Italian heritage with a love of wine. The Santarossa brothers set out to create a ‘family’ of wines adopting the old world principle of ‘terroir’. The single vineyard fruit is sourced from regions throughout Victoria that are best suited to the variety and then apply new world innovation to capture the most honest, purest expression of the wine. Minimal intervention, hand-picked, wild yeast and barrel ferment’s all contribute to making approachable food oriented styles. Winemaker Andrew Santarossa has over ten years’ experience making premium wines in Oregon, Margaret River and the Yarra Valley.

We are committed to creating and developing a company which seeks to reduce its impact on the environment

now and in the future. We have created a company which promotes specific grape varieties from vineyards that we believe best grow and showcase that variety in Victoria. This ensures minimal intervention from winemakers is required to bring out the best in these wine varieties.

Gravity flow systems in the wine making process and composting of grape marc are an example of the minimal impact on the environment. We use locally made glass

to package our wines, labels and cartons are printed in Melbourne using recycled products. Our winemaking, bottling, storage, distribution and sales are all done in Victoria, therefore limiting our carbon footprint.
